Happy Birthday Eri!

We ate out with some friends tonight to celebrate Eri's birthday. I was really moody, so mom didn't get a lot of pictures with the babies. Regardless, I wanted to wish my best bud a Happy 1st Birthday!

Birthday Party with FRIENDS!!!

Ange and Nate had everyone over to celebrate the babies' birthdays! We had so much fun and were so glad that we got to spend some birthday time with Eri and Emma! We are still a few weeks away from the big day, but it was so wonderful to celebrate with everyone in Italia. In homage to Gus, I wore the outfit she gave me. We were sad that she couldn't be there to celebrate with us, but don't worry Gus---we were thinking about you!

Polish tradition

Ange's family has a Polish tradition they do with all the babies. On his/her first birthday, a shot glass, prayer book, and silver coin is placed in front of the baby. The first item the baby picks up determines the baby's personality. Within 2 seconds of having the objects placed in front of me, I managed to grab the shot glass and then accidentally smashed it on the floor (sorry ange's family :( ). Nobody was surprised that I grabbed the shot glass...Eri's mom said that it means that I'll be fun loving. Mom had a feeling i'd go for the shot glass...the Irish roots run deep!
I touched the prayer book last---only after i had tossed the coin on the ground. So when the money and drink are gone---i'll at least have something to fall back on!

The anticipation...and the steal...

Eri was so excited about the cake.
I gave him the thumbs up; i could see the cake making it's way across the kitchen---CAKE IS ON!

But then I pulled a fast one and swiped his drink...that look of surprise on his face tells me that he never saw it coming!

Let them eat cake!

Who needs plates?

Eri and I decided to ditch our plates. Emma, ever the lady, was neat and tidy with her cake. Mom is hoping that some of her good manners rub off onto me.

Someone was handing out crackers, so we stayed nearby.

I have finally learned to enjoy MILK!

Today was my one year doctor's appointment. I weigh 24.8lbs and am 31 3/4 inches long. No wonder my mom's back is killing her!

Yippee!

Eri came to visit today and made an otherwise boring day a lot of fun!

True Friends

Kindred Spirits

Eri checks my teeth for cavities, and I think it's hilarious. Overall though, Eri and I are totally content just hanging out together. We chat, share snacks, and laugh at the same things.

There was a much bigger kid at the playground today, and she was really impressive. Eri and I were in awe as we watched her climb up and down the jungle gym.
